- On Oct. 31st, Dr.Rod Alferness, President of OSA, and Ms. Elizabeth Rogan, Executive Director of OSA, had a short meeting with SJTU student members at theChapter Booth, AOE 2008, Shanghai, China. Dr. Alferness and Ms. Rogan were very interested in the student activities and research works of SJTU chapter, and commented "very impressive and excellent." They also discussed with the student members about the future development of the student chapters in China, including interactions with OSA, connections to industrial companies and regional collaborations between Student Chapters. Dr. Alferness said "I will support OSA doing all that we can do to help."
