  • On April 29th 2008, the work on "High-rate Data Buffering in Silicon Nano Photonic Devices" was highlighted in the Research Overviews by NSFC
  • In March 2008, Prof. Yikai Su accepted invitations from international conferences to give invited talks on slow-light in silicon waveguides (OECC, WOCC, ICOCN) and 100G transmission (ICAIT), respectively
  • In March 2008, the OSA student chapter of SJTU has been awarded a 2008 Activity Grant for the Program: Show our chapter at international conferences.
  • In February 2008, Ph.D. student Qingjiang Chang went to NEC Labs America for joint research works.
  • In November 2007, Junming Gao demonstrated a 100G ETDM transmission prototype, this system features low cost, and large tolerance to residual chromatic dispersion and PMD.
  • On Oct 19th 2007, the slow light workshop of IEEE/OSA AOE organized by Prof. Yikai Su was held in Shanghai, with ~50 attendees
