2008年7月，苏翼凯教授成为Optics Letters（影响因子3.7）的副编辑，叶通博士成为APOC08的Session Chair和APCC09的技术程序委员会委员

2008年4月29日，纳米硅光子器件中的高速数据缓存工作在国家自然科学基金委英文网站的Research Overviews一栏上报道

2008年4月，纳米硅光子器件中的高速数据缓存成果被SPIE作为特色工作收入新闻室，此项工作被厉鼎毅院士评价为“outstanding work”

2008年3月，苏翼凯教授接受国际会议邀请，将做关于硅基慢光（OECC、WOCC、ICOCN）和100G传输（ICAIT）的邀请报告

2008年3月，OSA上海交通大学学生分会获得2008年活动经费用于资助分会活动“Show our chapter at international conferences”

2008年2月，博士生昌庆江赴美国NEC实验室进行相干OFDM的合作研究

2007年11月，高俊明完成了100G ETDM传输系统原型，此系统具有低成本、抗残余色散和PMD能力强的特点
