On Apr. 24th, 2008, the secretary-general of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Chapter of the OSA visited the Beijing Univ. Student Chapter of the OSA.
In Mar. 2008, the OSA Studet Chapter of SJTU
has been awarded a 2008 Activity Grant for the Program: Show our chapter at international conferences.
During 1st-5th Nov. 2007, some members of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Chapter of the OSA visited Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics.
On Nov. 4th, 2007, some members of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Chapter of the OSA met the Huazhong Univ. of Science and Technology student chapter of the OSA. At the meeting they exchanged the experience of holding the chapter and built friendship between
them.

On May 29th, 2008, Prof. Herbert G. Winful from EECS Department, University of Michigan gave us a talk tiltled" Faster than Light? A Resolution of the Tunneling Time Paradox" .With his earnest and open speaking,his talk was so attractive that it has given us a lot more than we expected.
On Dec. 14th, 2007, all members of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Chapter of the OSA visited Alcatel-Lucent Optics Division.
On Nov. 22rd, 2007, Dr. Keang-Po Ricky Ho visited SJTU to give us a talk titled " Effects of Nonlinear Phase Noise to Phase-Modulated Signals".
